Most Thursdays the Chiltern Rangers run a volunteer conservation group which is open to all. Come along and meet the group at Wycombe Rye Lido Car Park and keep fit while helping to take care of your local environment at woodlands. Tools, gloves and hot drinks are provided. Founded by councillor Ed Gemmell in 2019 (4 October is the feast day of St Francis of Assisi who it the patron saint of the environment) The aim is to... 1. get everyone not to use a disposable cup for one day while raising awareness of the massive waste problem caused by disposable cups 2. get disposable cups withdrawn or banned completely 3. help in the battle against global heating and climate change. The Wycombe Repair Café is a project run by the charity Wycombe Environment Centre. The Repair Café is located in All Saints Parish Church in the centre of High Wycombe. Bring your broken household items (mechanical, textile or small electrical) and we may be able to repair it.
