Boycott Single Use Plastics

Single-use plastics provide solutions to day-to-day problems, but they are becoming a huge problem in their own right. Unsightly single-use plastics litter the planet. But, they do so much more harm than that. Plastic waste threatens wildlife. In the natural environment, it can kill animals in many ways. Our everyday plastics can poison animals, entrap, strangle or choke them. Worse, plastics block an animal’s gut, leaving them to suffer from starvation. Refuse, Reuse, Refill, Recycle single-use plastics

We can all do something to control single-use plastics. There are some simple steps to take. Refuse to buy plastic where possible. If you have plastic, make every effort to Reuse it where possible. There are an astonishing number of ways to do that. Instead of buying new plastic containers, Refill old ones. If you must dispose of plastics, make sure they are Recycled. Read more…

Refuse plastic cups, bags & cutlery – take your own.

Remember your refillable water bottle and coffee cup.

Refuse plastic straws.

Refuse plastic condiment sachets.

Avoid single-use plastics in the bathroom.

Persuade your schools, employers, shops and suppliers, etc., to go single-use plastics free.
